The Revcord RCAT series is a "stand alone" voice logging system intended for operation 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The Model RCAT is browser based with Windows XP Operating System and features an optional Public Safety software. The Administrator has the ability to assign unlimited user rights and no "seat licenses" or other user fees are associated with RCAT voice logging systems offering analog connectivity. Access is at the workstation or remotely from the user s PC via the local area network (LAN) or Internet
The Revcord model RCAT Voice Logging System can be accessed remotely by as many users as the Administrator assigns rights. Access is gained from the user s PC with their browser (Internet Explorer) and is via the local area network (LAN) or Internet if the System is on an external IP address. Depending upon rights assigned to individual users they can have remote access to the System s full or limited System functionality.
The Revcord model RCAT is available with analog capture cards or digital capture cards - or with a variety of combinations using both analog and digital cards. Analog capture cards are 16 channels each and standard "off the shelf" configurations are 16, 32, 48 and 64 channels. Digital capture cards are 8, 16, and 24 channels and combinations of these are available "off the shelf" up to 96 channels.
Channel limitations of the Revcord Model RCAT are related to the number of slots available on the motherboard. Expansion up to 64 analog or 96 digital channels is normally a simple field level upgrade. If you anticipate expansion requirements exceeding 64 analog channels or 96 digital channels we recommend you consider our Model RCAMCS which is a rack mount chassis with redundant features including dual hot swappable hard drives and dual hot swappable power supplies. Questions regarding channel expansion involving analog mixed with digital or analog and/or digital mixed with VoIP should be asked your dealer.
c) Hard Drives & Internal Storage.
The Revcord model RCAT has a standard 320 gigabyte hard drive. With analog capture cards (using G.723.1 compression) this hard drive provides in excess of 100,000 channel hours of storage capability. With digital capture cards (using MSGSM compression) this drive should provide in excess of 50,000 channel hours of internal storage. With the RCAT System internal archiving is determined by number of days and the Systems are factory preset to record for 365 days and then to maintain 365 days on a "first in-first out" rotation. If your anticipated channel hour storage requirement exceeds 100,000 (or 50,000 hours with digital cards) the options of a larger hard drive or the use of a different compression are available. If your anticipated annual usage is less than 100,000 hours (or 50,000 hour with digital card) your dealer can reset the number of days internal archiving from 1 to 999 days. Regardless of the days you elect to maintain on the internal hard drives we strongly recommend automatic backup for purposes of additional security of data and information.
The Revcord model RCAT Digital Set Tap Recorders are great when recording Multiple Stations
