Elma 12V-0924-RV21J12-P750-UNI 20-slot VME Rack
For sale- an Elma 20-slot VME Rack model 12V-0924-RV21J12-P750-UNI. When the part numbers start getting that long it is hard to take them seriously, but I guess it probably tells you what you need to know about the build specs if you knew how to decipher it. I am just guessing that there is a hyphen between P750 and UNI, the decal is scratched there and it could have taken another letter or number with it, but I don t think so.
The rack is in good physical condition. The only issue I noted was that in the second slot from the left the upper plastic rail is missing. I wouldn t think that would preclude using that slot, just make it a bit harder to get the board in straight and seated right. But I also think that the plastic rail could probably be replaced if you thought that was necessary. The connections on the back are pretty elaborate, but may or may not suit your applications. I have left all the wiring that was in it in place, perhaps you can make use of some of it.
The rack was loaded with VME plug-ins when I got it, including five North Atlantic Instruments Transmagnetics Division Model 5410C-62 VXI VME boards. Those I have had listed separately for awhile, but I have lately had some interest in a few other boards that were mentioned in that listing. So I have decided to go ahead and sell off the other pieces as well and let the Transmagnetics listing stand on its own. NO boards included here, just the rack as pictured. When powered up empty as shown the fans come on, that s about it. But with the cards still in it there are lots of lights on. Particularly two Datum bc635VME timer boards, those have three LED displays apiece and all of those are up and running when the power comes on.
