Sephadex products are composed of dextrans (a polysaccharide), which appear as beads of varying diameter. They are widely used in the laboratory as chromatographic media. Many of these products hold an invaluable place in chromatography for the separation of sensitive molecules. Sephadex is well-known for it's great utility (and huge retail price) as well as impeccable quality - these products have shown very even batch-to-batch quality since the early 1960's.
A steal, as large supply houses typically charge $315 for 100g (Sigma ).
This product is intended for research use only. Made in Sweden. Pharmacia Fine Chemicals is now know as Amersham Biosciences.
This product is unopened, it is sealed by a clear band that is difficult to see in the picture. There may be marking and/or slight label removal for privacy reasons. This removal looks to be of names or companies.
