from the description on the outside of the box - the socket looks to have been design for use by the US Military.
1 1/2" 6 Pt. Wrench/Deep Socket 1/2" Drive, Very thick metal socket ; you won't have to worry about breaking
or tearing up this socket with too much arm and muscle force.
The hex extends 5/8 inch 1 3/8 inches in diameter & goes another 2 3/8 inches deep totaling 3 inches deep... Over all the length over socket is 3 3/4 inches
