This listing is for 2 slightly used taps in good general condition, as seen, in their original Cleveland Twist Drill case (although it used to be a set of three taps). Thread taps are used for cutting threads in holes for screws, bolts, pipe, etc. These taps cut size 1/2-14 threads. These are slightly tapered plug taps, four flutes, NPS, HS G. The heads measure 1-7/16" length from end to the last thread cutting "blade". The entire tap measures 3-1/8" overall length. Shaft is about 11/16" diameter with a 1/2" square end.
