COSMETICALLY THIS SAW IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. IT HAS SOME MINOR WOODCHIP RESIDUE BY THE BLADE HOLDER FROM PRIOR USE. THE RED GRAINED PLASTIC HAS SOME MINOR DIRT IN THE GROOVES OF THE GRAINED SURFACE OF THE RED PLASTIC CASING. ALSO THERE ARE SOME MINOR STAINS ON THE RED HOUSING OF THE SAWZALL ALSO BUT NONE OF THESE ISSUES EFFECTS HOW THE SAWZALL PERFORMES..
I HAVE PERSONALLY TESTED THIS SAWZALL HATCHET AND ALL OF THE FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES WORK PERFECTLY. THE HANDLE ADJUSTS EASILY WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON. THE TRIGGER IS A VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL, THE FIRMER YOU SQUEEZE THE FASTER IT GOES. GREAT FOR GETTING DIFFICULT CUTS STARTED. I COULDN T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE WAY THIS SAWZALL PERFORMED. THE HANDLE HAS SIX LOCKED SETTINGS.
