Collins radio, collins radio 180S-1 antenna tunercollin

Cosmetically, it is near new, a collectors quality item-no corrosion, no dents, no broke knobs, no rust, no broke porcelain, all parts are correct-no "wrong" parts. never stored in an un-heated garage or barn, inside is clean, needs no work, nothing to repair. There are several marks in the paint on the sides and top, and one on the front upper right corner-but all are hard to see unless strong light is just right. Note that it has its original ground jumper on its nosepiece.
Production of the 180S-1 began in 1958. Featuring a vacuum variable capacitor, and Hammerlund variable inductor, the 180S-1 can handle up to 1500 watts PEP. The 180S-1 can be configured as an L-network or a pi-network for matching a wide range of antenna impedances to a 50-ohm coaxial transmission line within 3 to 30 MHz. The last picture shows the 2 jumper plugs which add additional capacitance to the circuit.
