Lot of five (5) 1 micron polyester filter bags (wvo)
For sale is a lot of five (5) glazed polyester felt filter bags. These are rated at 1 micron (nominal). These are somewhat heavier than the 5 & 10 micron bags that we also sell. They have steel rings sewn into the top of the bag & have a glazed outer surface to reduce fiber contamination in the filtered solution. Bags are industry standard size 1 (7" diameter & 16" long) and can be used in most size 1 filter housings or free hanging from a pipe using a filter head adapter or attached with a fastener or clamp directly to the pipe. Please note that these bags do have a strap sewn across the opening of the bags to facilitate hanging from a pipe. Polyester is fairly good with a maximum heat of 180-200 degrees F but is generally not as chemical resistant as polypropylene. These are excellent bags for filtering water or waste vegetable oil (WVO) to make biodiesel.
