SOLID MAHOGANY,BRASS,SILVER,MARBLE,GLASS
RARE to find any notable,collectable scale in such condition,along with extras!
18.5" hi x 16.75"length x 10"deep
glass doors:front and back-open cleanly/interior rope is very clean,strong
drawer underneath scale/balance
all paperwork/items found in drawer:
the box marked:"counterpoise with handles"(as seen above) contains: 6 pieces:(5)unused glass,of which 4 pieces have "handles" and 6th piece is one small chain piece
last date of calibration 4/13/1965 by Omega Balance Service in New Jersey
also included is the original matching mahogany weight box with all original weights and tweezer! nothing missing
above weight box measure little over 2.25" hi x 5.25"length x 3"deep
top of the box has the orignal Eimer&Amend plate affixed to the lid
the brass(particularly the weights in the smaller box) has a patina and hazing to show age.Cleaning should correct(we Do NOT ever 'restore' valued items).same box- hinges/fittings also need cleaning.The Aimer&Amend plate on top needs cleaning(barely visible name).The tweezer in the smallbox has a missing (app. 1/8" or less) end tip piece.The end pieces are made of bone.There are (2) VERY minute(hardly visible) hairline "runs" on the right side of the marble. The left rear side of the marble has a superficial top 'ding'.
