Brand new 365pf Air Variable Tuning Capacitor!
Manufactured in 2009 to my own specification by one of the worlds leading capacitor manufacturers in the USA.
Since 365 pf became the standard for tuning capacitors, the Medium Wave band has expanded from 1500 to 1600 kHz and then again to 1700 kHz.
To cover the entire band without coil taps or external fixed capacitors, the capacitance has been slightly increased from the normal 365 pf value (15-385 actually) up to 410 pf.
A compact, rugged, economical unit used in a myriad of applications, it's almost cubical shape makes efficient use of space, enabling it to deliver a remarkable amount of capacitance for its volume.
The front mounting holes have been tapped metric for Europe and the holes have been aligned so they are in line with the shaft, this makes panel design much easier, the shaft has also been extended to 7/8 inch (21 mm) long, to accommodate a wide range of panel thickness, with any type of knob.
This is a super little capacitor, ideal for serious crystal set and regenerative radio builders.
