R.S.R. Electronics PAD 234A Trainer. Lots of breadboard. +5V, +12V, -12V, +1.2 to 15V,-1.2 to 15V power @ 1 A. The combination of the +12V & the +1.2 to 15V shouldn't exceed 1A as they share a winding & filter. Same is true for the negative supplies. Also there's 12VAC ct available.
The function generator spans 1 Hz to 100kHz in 5 ranges. 4 buffered outputs. Sine, triangle & square are switch selected with low Z buffered outputs of 0-6Vpp, 0-8Vpp, & 0-16Vpp respectively. The CLK out is buffered CMOS, TTL compatable 5Vpp. The function generator has AM & FM modulation inputs.
8 LEDs have 5V inputs, 10k to gnd. 8 switches are +5V/gnd. 2 momentary switches are TTL outputs, true & complementary.
This trainer is pretty clean, some discoloring on the breadboard as seen in the pic.
Apparently this is an early model 234A, it didn't have the 40106 schmitt trigger on the clock out that corrects the inherently atrocious risetime. I added a daughter board with the 40106 as shown. I don't see any other differences in this early version from the later one.
This trainer is fully functional.
An operator's manual with schematics is included.
