The Petzl Grillon (pronounced gree-yawn) is the latest in adjustable lanyards. The cam device feeds smoothly over the low stretch kernmantle rope, and locks when a load is applied. The Grillon can also release line with your body weight against the cam, a distinct advantage over the rope grabs. Lanyard is also fitted with a protective sleeve to avoid abrasion from tree bark. Lanyard ends are stitched and fitted with plastic connectors and an aluminum rope snap on one end. Requires a carabiner or pear link to attach to your saddle.
