This is a Interchemical (Inmont) Thickness Gauge Type R by Gardner Labs
This is an instrument used to measure wet film thickness of paints. The type R gauge has a rotating scale. The inner wheel is slightly eccentric compare to the two outer rims so picks up paint of differing thicknesses as it is rolled acros the paint film. The break between pick-up and no pick up is the film thickness.
This is in very nice condition, no flat spots or other faults.
