I actually do not have a cassette tape but I tested this out by plugging in the sytsem, making sure that the all of the buttons and moving parts worked, and they do, and also hooked up the foot pedal and microphones to make sure that the foot pedal did what it was supposed to do. If you push play, the system plays, push rewind, it rewind, etc. Also, the LCD screen works.
