The safety hinge switch SHS is the logical integration of a safety switch into an industrial grade hinge. The hinge operating angle is a full 180 , with a 3 switching point that may be selected between 0 and 180 .
In contrast to traditional safety switches with separate actuators integrated in the closing edge of the guard or frame, the safety hinge switch SHS monitors guard movement directly in the hinge. This feature significantly reduces safety system's exposure to mechanical collisions. The safety hinge switch SHS is easy to mount, maintenance-free and tamperproof, as the safety switch is difficult to localize.

The SHS is an industrial grade hinge that can bear an axial load up to 750 N and a radial load over 1000 N. The switch is protected according to IP67.
