Bunn cds ultra auger shaft bushings - set of 2
This is a brand new pair of auger shaft bushings for any Bunn CDS or Ultra machine. You get two bushings with each purchase.
These should be replaced at a minimum during the installation of your preventative maintenance kit every six months, but if you have had to service the auger shaft or replace the shaft seal in between these kits you should replace the bushings at the same time.
These bushings go between the auger shaft and the cooling drum and act to reduce friction as well as to provide an inexpensive "sacrificial" component at a high-wear location. These are made of plastic and are designed to wear out and really must be replaced at least every six months. When installing, remember you want the bushing to stay stationary relative to the cooling drum and have the auger spin inside the bushing, so you should lubricate only the inside of the bushing using food-grade lubricant (mineral oil based).
