With this splitter assembly you can connect your scanner to the car radio antenna whilst still being able to use the car's AM/FM radio. Even compatible with new digital radios, provided your radio uses the std Motorola plug/socket.
This high quality assembly includes the following features:
- Standard Motorola plug and socket for connection to antenna and existing car radio.
- Fully shielded F-type splitter to minimise interference.
- F-Type Crimp connectors used on cable connected to the splitter - NO gimmicks here with gold plated or twist on connectors! The signal is carried by the centre conductor of the coax cable so the importance here is to have a good and reliable connection of the centre conductor. These crimp connectors offer improved strain relief over other types of connects such as screw on or twist type.
- Quad Shielded coaxial cable used for the input and 2 outputs! That right, 4 layers of shielding to minimise interference. We say quad shield because we use quad shield, while others claim multishield, which can refer to 2 layers of shielding only - beware!
- 1.5m Quad shielded Flylead with Crimped BNC connector for connection to your scanner. This crimped connector offers superior strain relief compared to screw on type connectors that are sometimes seen in inferior products.
- Covers all popular frequencies, eg Police, Ambulance, Emergency Services, Aviation band, UHF CB, Amateur radio, VHF TV etc, etc, etc.
- Assembly as shown in the photo will be supplied.
