One of the remarkable products of Edan Instruments is the Cadence Basic Fetal Monitor. The external and internal monitoring parameters ensure it can be used up to and during the second stage labor. It also can be connected to the CareVista obstetrical central station to construct central monitoring system.
With its Compact Design, this baby heart monitor can easily move or mounts on walls. It is also a waterlight high sensitive untrasound transducer with the use of multicrystal ultrasound technology, aside from being a waterlight flat TOCO transducer wherein its flat surface design reduces visible mark and enhances comfort.
With its Automatic Fetal Movement Detection features, this particular baby heart rate monitor can detect fetal movement by ultrasound transducer automatically. It also has Intrapartum Monitoring, with optional DECG and IUP function.
Moreover, this Edan fetal monitor, have Signals Overlap Verification which reduces the risk of heart rate signal from the same source, thus differentiating the heart rate of the mother from the child, in addition to its Insight Software for data transferring and displaying on a standard PC. The said software has these following features: real time transmission, event and comment record, and patient information management, printout on A4 paper and patient data storage and review.
The Built-in Network Connection Interface of the product is compatible with wireless and cable LAN obstetrical central station.
With regards to its battery, it has a built-in rechargeable battery that can last for 4 hours of continuous work as an option.
The said fetal monitor has a LED foldable screen that can display waveforms and digitals simultaneously. It also has a powerful memory that can store 12 hours of memory for patient fs data and review.
