How does it work.....The magenta area (the active portion) sits idle in shade 3 until you strike the arc. Once the arc is struck, the magenta area automatically switches to a fixed shade 10, matching the rest of the filter, giving the user an EDGE to EDGE viewing area. The purpose of this is for the user to have continous protection AND vision through-out the entire job.
