Nikon ne-20S digital theodolite - transit survey level
This is a Nikon NE-20S Digital Theodolite instrument for surveying. This is very popular and widely used theolodite. Instrument is in good physical condition, all components are in good shape with some scuffs and marks from normal field usage. The battery compartment is super clean with no signs of any damage.
All knobs, controls and buttons are working properly. Features an optical plummet (no plumb-bobs!)
The theolodite powers on properly; when the scope is turned to the proper position the display shows information. When turned; the degrees on the unit change properly. Everything looks to be in great working order. Requires 6 AA batteries for operation (not included).
It does include the hard carrying case; although the plastic hinge on the case broke so the top seperates from the button. Not really a big deal since you can easily install a new hinge on this. The locking clasps are in good condition and lock tightly.

Nikon s NE-20S Electronic Digital Theodolite includes a high equality telescope which assures sharp, clear images every time. The NE-20s takes 20 (or 0.006 G) minimum readings.
This theodolite is constructed with a dual-line LCD display with battery power indicator and simplified keyboard.
There is no need for a telescope vial as the initial setting of vertical angle to zero is a snap which only requires a simple rotation of the telescope through the horizontal line.
Operation time with manganese batteries is approximately 28 hours and with alkaline-manganese batteries is approximately 70 hours.
