ROUGH SERVICE INCANDESCENT REFLECTOR FLOOD LAMP
Rough service lamps are used in lighting applications that require light bulbs to have a stronger filamnet design than a standard light bulb to withstand being in a moving and object such as a trouble light or portable lamp fixture, or to withstand the motion of a machine such as a drill press, band saw, grinder, lathe or similar device. These rough service bulbs are also designed for areas that may have a wall mounted light fixture with a heavy door nearby where the door jars the wall and light fixture causing short lamp life or premature burn-out in standard filament bulbs.
