Manufactured to the highest technical standards for complete reliability, these premium quality fixings are a self-tapping anchor for use in a variety of construction materials including concrete, stone, brick and block. This self-tapping action enables a positive and safe anchorage to be achieved, with the substrate becoming the nut to the Thunderbolt.
The Thunderbolt offers the user a stress-free fixing that can be installed nearer to edges and closer together and at varying embedment depths. The Thunderbolt performs well in a variety of solid and hollow substrates, is simple to install and is totally removable. An extremely versatile anchor, the Thunderbolt is ideal for general purpose and temporary applications, offers good load carrying capacity for more arduous applications, is very cost-effective and has the benefits of being a stree-free anchor.
- Uses standard size hammer or percussion drill bits
- Safe anchorage achieved without the need of high tightening forces
- Can be removed and re-fixed into same hole, providing thread is correctly aligned
- No expansion forces means close to the edge fixing and reduced centre spacing distances
- Manufactured in accordance with QS9000 from high grade steel and acieves a tensile strength of 800N/mmsq. (after heat treatment)
