Epoxy garage floor - complete 450SQFT chip flake system
6.5 gallons total of wet material - and 10 lbs of chips for a heavy broadcast - Finished thickness will be a dry 15-23 mils depending on size of floor. This kit will cover any size two car garage. Adjust spread rate to meet coverage needs for your project.
This is the same floor professionals would charge $1,500-$3,000 to install. Preparation is the key for the success of your floor. AD Polymers does not supply acid etch or degreasing solutions. You can purchase those items as needed at your local hardware store. The recommended amount of solution would not be of cost benefit for you the consumer. The quality/quantity/cost ratios that would be supplied with such a kit would provide sub par results. We also suggest etching the floor twice before applying any floor epoxy. Use a strong concentration of acid/water mix. The stronger the mix the better the pentration you will get with the primer.
2 gals of primer - 3 gals of 100% solids epoxy - 1.5 gals of urethane top coat. (Not water-based like you'll find in other kits)
1/8" notched squeegee - (3)18" rollers - (3) 9" rollers - 6 gallon bucket - nonskid agent- 4" cut-in brushes - chips- mixing adapter - latex gloves - stir sticks - spiked shoes
acid etch solution - 18" roller frame - 9" roller frame - masking tape - handles for squeegee - handles for rollers (need three) - (these items can be purchased at local hardware stores.
Don't confuse this kit with others you see. You won't use a window squeegee to spread this material. A serrated squeegee is used to help gauge the material for a smooth even finish.
