Thermoplastic impression material in sticks for:
* Adding to the periphery of an impression tray
* Functional and relining impressions
* As useful space maintainer
It has a controlled working temperature, 50 Celsius or 122 to 124 F
Because of its unique characteristics Hiflex Green Sticks enables production of extremely accurate impressions.This makes it particularly useful as an impression material for rebasing and muscle trimming. May also be used for general impressions such as dentures, root surfaces and posts.
* For border extension on impression trays
* Ideal for recording full depth of sulcus
* Modify dentate tray by building up material where tooth has been extracted
* Make functional and relining relining impressions
* Fast and uniform plasticity
* Quick hardening in cold water

* Remove the flange and tissue contact surface from the denture to a depth of 2-3 mm using steel burs or abrasive points.
* Cover the relieved surface of the denture with Hiflex Green Sticks which has been softened over a flame.
* Soften again by passing through hot water at 45 C (113 F).
* Insert the denture into the mouth and instruct the patient to bite and hold the denture in centric occlusion.
* Perform muscle trimming movements.
* The denture should be retained in the mouth for 1 day to allow a truly functional impression to be formed under normal chewing conditions. Advise patients to avoid hot drinks during this period.
* The impression formed is used in standard rebasing procedures.
* Hiflex Green Sticks has a fast colour, no taste and no smell and is non-irritating to the patient's mouth.
* To avoid Hiflex Green Sticks becoming too sticky do not overheat.
* If Hiflex Green Sticks adheres to the denture, let it set hard and remove with laboratory burs and hand instruments. Remove residual traces using solvent.
* Store at normal room temperature (23 C / 74 F).
