This unit is brand new in the box and it is fully guaranteed.
If the encoder will be exposed to heavy concentrations of coolant and lubricant mist, the scale housing can be supplied with compressed air to provide IP 64 protection and effectively prevent the ingress of contamination. The DA 200 Compressed Air Unit from HEIDENHAIN (filter combination with pressure regulator and fittings) is designed for this purpose.
Most HEIDENHAIN sealed linear encoders are equipped with inlets at both end pieces and on the mounting block for connection of compressed air. Compressed air may be introduced into the encoder only through a connector with integral throttle (4 ea. included with delivery) and after previous cleaning in a microfilter.
The required air flow is 3 to 5 liters/minute per encoder; the permissible pressure lies in the range of 0.6 to 1 bar.
