The Pentax AL-6B level was used maybe once or twice a year when I would build a new house. It was primarily used for checking the level of concrete foundation form boards after the masonry sub-contractor said he was all through forming up the project and wanted to get paid. It has been taken well care of and protected in it's case when not being used. The tripod and measuring rod were purchased a few years back as a "kit" when I bought a laser level to replace the Pentax. Why did I replace the Pentax? I'm a small time contractor who likes to work by himself most of the time to save money, and a laser level allows me to do so. Beep... Beep... Beep...
Level was checked with my new laser and is accurate. Tested with the laser under the Pentax, and used about a 50' radius, measuring different points in a 360 circle.
