What is obtained from the SINTOCheck
Of SINTOCheck the signals are obtained that the tuner under test when tunes suitably it is fed and when it has signals of RF presents in its entrance or connector of antenna.

PROBADOR DE SINTONIZADORES DIGITALES DE TV

Esto permite verificar el funcionamiento de sintonizadores inclusive sin desmontarlos del chasis del TV.
Tambi n, utilizando las tensiones de alimentaci n que suministra el propio probador, se podr alimentar un sintonizador fuera de su chasis original, y darle se ales de comando de sinton a y AGC, visualizando la se al sintonizada desde la entrada de RF sobre un monitor de TV de la misma norma. El SINTOCheck verifica el correcto funcionamiento de los tipos de dos hilos (2H) como los de tres (3H), tanto si est n mec nicamente unidos al chasis del TV como por fuera del mismo.
Para utilizar este instrumento se necesitara una conexi n de RF (proveniente desde una antena, videocable o generador de patrones) y un TV o monitor com n con entradas de audio y video.
Se distinguen dos formas de probar sintonizadores: estando insertados en su chasis original, o sueltos, fuera del TV de donde provienen.
Probando sintonizadores insertados en su chasis
Primero se identifican las conexiones correctas que necesitar establecer seg n el modelo de sintonizador a probar. Para ello, una forma de conocerlas es observando las leyendas de la serigraf a del chasis o placa del TV, que en la mayor a de los casos tiene identificado a qu corresponde cada pin del sintonizador, como se observa en la siguiente foto.
Si el objetivo es comandar al sintonizador de manera externa pero estando insertado en su chasis, s lo se utilizan las se ales de sinton a generadas por el SINTOCheck a trav s del mazo de cables denominado SE ALES, dejando sin utilizar la etapa de FI y las diferentes alimentaciones inclu das en el instrumento.
Se aislar n las se ales que llegan del microcontrolador del TV al sintonizador, desold ndolas, y se conectar n adecuadamente los cables del probador a las mismas del sintonizador, gui ndose por sus respectivos nombres. Seleccionando el TIPO de sintonizador a comandar (2H 3H) podr encenderse el SINTOCheck. Si se ignorara de qu tipo de sintonizador se trata, se podr a determinar por deducci n simplemente inspeccionando las leyendas en la placa o chasis de donde proviene.
Al presionar el interruptor de ENCENDIDO se iluminar el display de LEDs indicando por defecto el canal 02. Recorriendo la sinton a de varios canales llegando hasta el 68 se prueban las diferentes bandas que cubre.
Probando sintonizadores sueltos
En cambio, si se deseara probar sintonizadores sueltos, fuera de sus chasis, no habr a mayor inconveniente. Conectando las pinzas cocodrilo del mazo de cables de SE ALES y de ALIMENTACION a los pines correspondientes del sintonizador, incluyendo el cable de GND a la carcaza met lica del mismo, y dejando sin conectar los que no se requieran, podr excitarse el dispositivo como si estuviese en un chasis de TV. Seleccione el TIPO de sintonizador a comandar (2H 3H) ANTES de encender el probador. El Manual del Usuario del instrumento proporciona valiosa ayuda al respecto.
Si se ignorara de qu tipo de sintonizador se trata, se podr a probar los dos tipos (2H 3H), sin existir riesgo de da o al instrumento o al sintonizador.
Presionando el interruptor de ENCENDIDO, se iluminar el display de LEDs indicando por defecto el canal 02. Recorriendo con los botones CANAL - y CANAL + se probar la sinton a de varios canales llegando hasta el 68 para as probar las diferentes bandas y en definitiva la respuesta del sintonizador a los est mulos. Verifique en la pantalla del TV que se registran los cambios en la se al sintonizada.
Si la se al observada tiene ruido (lluvia o nieve) o es inestable, se girar el CONTROL MANUAL DE AGC en el frente del probador para obtener una se al de nivel adecuado.
Para minimizar el riesgo de confusi n, los cables de se al y alimentaci n del SINTOCheck est n separados en dos grupos en el frente del instrumento: SE ALES en la parte superior y ALIMENTACION en la inferior, cada cable identificado por color seg n se indica en el mismo panel.
Qu bandas de frecuencias de TV cubre
El SINTOCheck es adecuado para probar sintonizadores de TV en normas N y M (ya sean PAL o NTSC), para canales de 6 MHz de ancho de banda, de uso generalizado en toda Am rica. No es apto para los est ndares europeos.

Del SINTOCheck se obtienen las se ales que sintoniza el sintonizador bajo prueba cuando es adecuadamente alimentado y cuando tiene se ales de RF presentes en su entrada o conector de antena.
El SINTOCheck proporciona se ales est ndar de audio y video a trav s de sus conectores RCA de SALIDA, en la parte posterior del aparato, y si son aceptables, podr concluirse que el sintonizador funciona perfectamente, cumpli ndose as la funci n de probador.
El SINTOCheck tiene todo lo que un sintonizador de TV necesita para funcionar:
* genera los 4 voltajes t picos de alimentaci n: +5V, +9V, +12V y +33V
* genera un voltaje variable manualmente para la entrada de AGC seg n el tipo de sintonizador elegido
* genera los c digos digitales de sinton a en 2 protocolos de comunicaci n diferentes: I2C y 3-Wire
* procesa la se al de FI (frecuencia intermedia) proveniente del sintonizador y la convierte en se ales de audio y video.
