Full featured, digital, electronic radiation dosimeter. Science Applications Incorporated Company (S.A.I.C.), 16701 West Bernardo Drive, San Diego, CA, 92127, Tel. Measures and indicates via digital display, radiation dose rate (ur/hr, mr/hr, R/hr), total dose (urem, mrem, rem), adjustable radiation level chirper rate (can also be turned on or off), adjustable dose rate and total dose alarm set points. No reader or programmer unit or PC needed, functions set local. Size 1.9 x 2.85 x 0.7 inches, pocket page size, with belt clip. Weight less than 90 grams (3.2 oz.) with battery. Uses readily available AA battery. Rugged, passes ANSI N13.27 drop test, 40 drops from 1 meter onto hard-solid concrete. Dose Range 0 ur - 999 R. Minimum resolution 2 ur, i.e., reads down to, and shows typical environment background radiation levels. Dose rate range 10 ur/hr to 500 R/hr. Energy response 50 kev to 6 Mev. Alarms: Dose 10 ur to 999 R. Stay time calculation based on measured dose rate and pre-set dose alarm from 6 seconds to 109 hours. Chirp rate 1 beep per user pre-set dose increment. Dose increment beep setting range 2 ur to 50 mr. Visual display readout: Total Dose, Dose Rate, Stay Times. Dose history: 223 points, interval range 6 seconds to 109 hours (dose history accessed through external reader only). Power: Standard AA battery, alkaline typical 2250 hours.
