"quill free" milling machine quill lock lever upgrade
This is a never used "Quill Free" spring loading device for Bridgeport type vertical milling machines. After you install it, the spring tension keeps your quill locking lever from moving downward with gravity. Anyone who uses a mill knows how annoying it is to keep reaching for that lever to loosen it with one hand while moving the quill with the other. This device makes it so when you loosen the lever, it STAYS up until you are ready to lock the quill again.
This kit has been sitting a while. It was never installed on a machine. The included instruction kit has absorbed some of the oil from the parts. This is easy to install. Enlarge photos below to see more details. Clever enough for a patent award.
