I have no idea how to describe that correctly. It is a compression spring that is made of a flat piece of spring steel that is coiled up on a slight angle to create spring tension. I assume this type of spring is used on some type of long motion linear slide. The label has a two names on it, Centrycover and Centryco Inc. The material is 0.027 thick and the band is 2.5 wide. Compressed this spring measures 2.5 tall x 3.875 diameter with the center (hollow) diameter at 2.50 . Fully extended this sprint measures 30 +. The total weight of this spring is approximately 4 lbs. I have created a chart below of spring tensions/pressure I measured at several different lengths.
