KIRBY LESTER PILL COUNTING Machine
CLASSIC ORIGINAL Made in U.K. 4/83
Counts all tablets and capsules, any shape or size*.
This machine should be in the Kirby Lester Museum
This machine is used, But it is is A1 condition . . . It has been thoroughly Cleaned ( It didn't need much) and Tested . . . All Electronic Gates working . . . This machine is very accurate when kept clean.
This older KL-8 Machine uses the same technology to count pills as the earlier KL-7 and the later KL-8plus and KL-X.
. . It has apparently been used only sparingly and with great care . . . It came to us very clean and with the 2 extra fuses and 2 extra bulbs (Like New from Kirby Lester) in the rack under the cover, that had never been used . . .
The original 3 trays from a U.K. mold (early bump in bottom type) that came with it are included . . .
It has the early 3 piece funnel set, that although sporting an elegant yellow toning from the years in service, are in perfect condition . . . No chips or cracks . . .This funnel set type is now replaced by the newer 2 piece funnel set. . .
The tray holder (Black Box) shows no wear at the edges from inserting and removing the tray during use . . .
It comes in the original British Kirby Lester KL-8 Double boxing arrangement with form fitting styrofoam and foam rubber between the boxes. . .
The outer box has nomenclature and machine serial number, which matches this machine . . .
NOTE: All serial numbers match on this Museum Quality machine . .
Even the large label that was on the inner box is still there . . . It has come loose but is in very good condition . . . It reads. . .
Reconditioned and Renovated. . .
Pill contact parts are precision crafted from high impact plastic material . .
Metal cabinet is two-tone Powder Coated light and dark Tan,
and the electronic counting boards are protected inside. .
These precision counting machines, are for use in a licensed Pharmacy or Vitamin Filling Operation and can only be sold for such. Proof of legitimate ligitimate use is required.

I have used KIRBY LESTER counting machines in the practice of Pharmacy starting with my first KL-7 machine in my Compounding Pharmacy in 1972, Then for 11 years in a mail-order setting, I kept several KL-8s, KL-8plus, and KL-Xs, operational, fixing broken ones, and replacing parts if needed. and for the last 12 years, as a relief pharmacist, using the KL-X each day to complete the daily prescrition volume. . . .
These machines are no longer supported by the Kirby Lester Co, but they are NOT obsolete. Like the Volkswagen Beetle, they will live forever if well taken care of . .
Until they were replaced by newer models and no longer available, KIRBY LESTER First Listed the KL-7 at a Retail of $895
The KL-8 was $1395 and the KL-8 plus was $1595.
The KL-X (10) originally retailed at $2795
