This is a Dual headset adaptor, power cord and speaker mute switch interface box
for the EF Johnson 5300 series (50Watt) radios.
Perfect for you CAP communicators that are fighting all the noise during missions.
The interface easily fits on the front right side of the radio. (See pics)
TWO 3.5mm headset jacks allow for STEREO or MONO Headphones. It has a load on all ports, so less risk of shorting the output.
The switch allows the user to disable the internal speaker in the radio and select the external interface jack (headset works regardless)
If you don't have anything plugged into the external jack, then this functions as a speaker mute switch.
I have wired the ACC ignition function into the 8-pin interface plug, so you don't need to worry about that pesky little jumper to make the radio fire up.
The radio DC output jumper mates directly with the Johnson power cord.
Unit comes with Anderson Power Pole 30Amp connectors on the supply side.
3FT long DC Cable. DC cable is high quality 12Gage Powerwerx Zip cord.
There is a 15AMP fuse on the main and ACC line to avoid mishaps in wiring.
