This item was tested to receive power in a USB multi-card reader that's attached to my mac mini. It read, recognized and scanned a barcode but my computer set up didn't seem capable of communication with the scanner properly. Does look to be in great working and physical condition for as far as it has been tested. Comes with springy cable that fits into a CF card reader slot.
