Acrylic, otherwise known as "Plexiglass", "Lucite", or "Acrylite", has a more abrasion resistant surface compared to polycarbonate material, yet offers less impact resistance, and is commonly used where optical clarity is a must. Only half as heavy as glass, acrylic is also resistant to sunlight and even salt spray. This piece was cut from first run remainders and is in very good condition. The protective covering is intact on both sides.
