Tilting antenna roof mount system - very heavy duty

Here is a real solution to mounting your vertical or even a beam antenna on your roof. I purchased a zero-Five ground plane antenna, and was in need of a way to mount it. I am a home shop machinist, so I came up with what I think is a very elegant solution. The roof mount is constructed out of 1/2 inch Aluminum plate. The mounting stud is an 18" long, 2" diameter solid aluminum bar. The antenna will go from 0 to 90 degrees, which makes it nice to tilt over to work on. Also, whatever your roof pitch is, this will work. The base is mounted with four 1/2 inch bolts and 1.75 by 8" threaded support plates, it is as solid as a rock! Weight is 26 pounds. The top 6 inches of the mount stud is machined to fit the I.D.. of your antenna base tube. If you order one of these mounting systems, I will need to know what your antenna's base Outside Diameter is so I can custom machine this mount to fit your antenna. If installing a roof mounted beam, I would limit the height to 8 feet above the roof. You can go as high as you want if you use guy wires. For ease of installation, this mount will go under the roof eaves, that way you don't have to crawl in the attic! Thanks for looking....Karl Wn6G
