Spherical Designs Organization
40' diameter - 2"x 6" dome truss
Cut and lettered made from treated 2" x 6" lumber.
This is the frame with no interior framing in the triangles and no plywood sheathing.
There are 250 struts in this 4V dome with all the compound angles cut on both ends.
This structure can be assembled using self taping deck screws
or a nail gun using ring shank nails.
Pre-drilled holes in the strut ends for the self taping screws is optional.
Optional interior truss framing can be ordered at 16" o.c. or 24" o.c.
Optional 3/4" exterior plywood can also be ordered.
Rigid foam insulation cut to size and lettered is also available.
Spherical Geodesic Structures .com can manufacture any size, geodesic design or frequency in light gauge or heavy gauge steel. Other kit prices can be found on this website. Spherical Geodesic Structure offers the only steel connector tested and licensed by the Underwriters Laboratory.
