The 89640A PC-based vector signal analyzer (VSA) offers 36 MHz of analysis bandwidth for measuring signals from DC to 2.7 GHz. Use the 89640A to measure the RF and modulation quality of digitally modulated signals. Its flexible demodulation features work equally well on wideband and narrowband signals, proprietary signals and standards based signals. The 89640A VSA features unique error analysis tools that are designed to help you identify physical layer problems and investigate their cause. These problems include symbol timing errors, filtering errors, DAC overflow, and incorrect sinX/X compensation as well as RF problems such as IQ imbalance, quadrature skew, IQ offset, and much more. The 89640A vector signal analyzer is a pre-configured system based on modular VXI hardware and controlled by your PC via an IEEE-1394 "FireWire" interface. Features:

* 24 digital demodulators with settable center frequency, symbol rate, filter type and alpha/BT
* Error analysis features, including EVM over time, phase/amplitude/frequency variation over time, adaptive equalization and more
* Dynamic links to and from ADS data to troubleshoot simulations and create "virtual hardware" to substitute for block diagram elements not yet realized in hardware
* Up to 1.2 GB of signal capture and playback memory to record signals or transients for analysis later
