Here we have a Nice New Floating head, new old stock nos still partially coated in plastic.
This type of floating head is a tension compression holder at least I think that is what it is called, you push the bottom section inward towards the shank and it pushes back with spring tension. If you pull downward on it the body does not move, only when pushed the one direction.
