Rachael Ray assures F ri a stronger grip in USA
Breaking news: F ri Gusto Grip launch
The new F ri Gusto Grip will be available to major retailers from October 1st 2005.
Mark Henry (Furitechnics USA President and designer engineer) said, Unlike our F ri Pro knives, which have been on the market for years and well-known among chefs, the Gusto Grip line was created specifically to meet recommendations by popular television cook and celebrity, Rachael Ray. Rachael wanted a grippier handle in her favorite color orange particularly for more appeal to home cooks. The knife had to be cutting edge and attractive, and feel immediately comfortable and secure in the hand. The end result is F ri Gusto Grip, and everyone who saw it during our development phase immediately loved it, especially Rachael!
Because Furitechnics are primarily an engineering development company for chefs, I ensured that the end result had the qualities that would also make it a great knife for professionals. The blade, solid forged bolster and tang are all one piece of the finest German CrMoV stainless steel alloy. We don t weld a blade to a die-cast bolster and tang, like most of the cheaper home-oriented brands. The handle itself is a molding of super-tough orange Polypropylene with clear synthetic rubber permanently molded around. This is pressed onto the thick tang, and a stainless steel counterweight is pressed into the tail for perfect balance. Our lifetime warranty speaks for itself this is a serious piece of engineering!
Rachael Ray said, F ri already made such legendary knives and I wanted to add one final touch: a super-grippy and comfy handle. For such a serious knife, with all the F ri technology, the price is also great value for the gourmet home cook, or chef!
New York After years of using traditional knives, and traditional sharpening methods, popular television cook Rachael Ray has recently upgraded to new technology. Her new F ri RR knives and Tech Edge knife sharpener are from F ritechnics, the Australian engineers and chefs behind the internationally acclaimed F ri range of professional knives and innovations for cooks .
"The F ri RR East/West knife has all of the features of the classic Santoku blade that I love . . . and much more! I love the sharpness and scalloped edge of a Santoku blade. However, a traditional Santoku knife has a very straight edge, which makes it difficult to use in a rocking and sliding motion, as with most traditional chef s knives. The F ri RR Coppertail features both a sharp, scalloped Santoku blade . . . and a rounded edge."
Wedge shape resists slip toward the blade even with wet or oily hands. The handle itself is a molding of super-tough orange Polypropylene with clear synthetic rubber permanently molded around. This is pressed onto the thick tang, and a stainless steel counterweight is pressed into the tail for perfect balance.
