Variable capacitor, four gang,
This old new four gang variable capacitor is in very good condition and is in it's original packaging. I cannot be precise about the capacity range but it is of the order of 5.5-17pf, 6-22pf, 10-100pf and 15 - 320pf, this includes the trimmers on the two higher sections. As can be seen one high and one low value section is screened.
Capacitor width with vanes open is 43 mm, 33mm closed. Height including screen is 50mm and depth is 60 mm. The shaft is knurled at the end but will accept 6.3mm knobs, the full length of the shaft is 40mm and could be shortened with care. The vanes are aluminum except for the fixed vanes on the low value section which are copper, there is a ball race at the shaft end and a thrust bearing at the back plate.
The bottom has spigots which look as if they were designed to seat the capacitor on a PCB.
