In storage since the early 1980's, with
original sticker (axe in butcher block)still on handle. The wax coating has kept the blade
Carbon steel blades are not for the casual user
They require immediate drying after hand
washing and frequent oiling, as well.
Otherwise, they will rust. And discoloring is normal over time.
But they will provide you with an exceptionally
sharp blade that will sharpen quickly and easily.
In order to present its perfect condition, I
have not removed the wax coating that has
protected the blade all these years. If
you prefer, I can send you your knife with
