These wheels were developed with one thing in mind: hardwood or laminate floors. If you are worried about your investment in your hardwood floors, then you need to invest in these casters. The larger than normal wheel diameter and thickness gives you more traction and more rubber on your floor. Each caster has 2 wheels for a total of 10 wheels on a standard office chair.
