Pins show voltage when tested with a multimeter. I have no definitive test for function. I will pay for its return if it breaks in the warranty period. It needs a three prong power cord (not included). It has a sticker on it with check boxes and option. The option checked is MPC5xx//8xx". I know nothing about these things but if I can do anything to help you decide if this is what you need, please let me know. Thank you.
