M68 (fiber optic version of model M67) for Inaccessible or Environmentally Severe Applications Innovative Design
The M68 "Infraducer" is recommended for areas where the following conditions exist:
* When direct sighting with the M67S is impossible due to obstructions. The flexibility of the fiber optics cable overcomes this problem.
* When an intrinsically safe IR temperature transmitter is mandatory.
* Where RF of EMI interference is a problem.
* Where exceptionally high ambient temperatures exist. Fiber optic lens assembly will withstand up to 315 C (600 F) ambient without cooling and up to 540 C (1000 F) with cooling.
* Where a corrosive environment, fumes, etc. prohibit conventional systems. Temperature ranges from 500 C to 3000 C (1050 F to 5400 F). Fiber optic cables available in lengths up to 10 meters (30ft.) for sighting the target.
