The hone that floats to the workpiece with each abrasive globule working with independent suspension creating a finish that cannot be obtained by any other means.
The Flex-Hone Process produces a controlled surface condition unobtainable by any other method. It involves finish, geometry and metallurgical structure. A high percentage plateaued finish is produced that is free of cut, torn and folded metal. The Flex-Hone will also radius the ports while it hones the walls. In hydraulics and pneumatics the seal life will be greatly extended with improved sealing. The Flex-Hone is a resilient, flexible honing tool with a soft cutting action. The abrasive globules (balls) each have independent suspension that assures the Flex-Hone to be self-centering, self-aligning to the bore, and self-compensating for wear.
The Flex-Hone Tool is for any type and size of cylinder from .250 (6.4mm) to 36" (914mm) in diameter.
