This is a Raymond Electric Pallet Jack with an electric forklift battery changer attachment. It is designed for changing out big battery packs from regular electric forklifts. It uses a linear drive and an electromagnet to pull the battery packs out.

This image shows the basic controls that this unit operates on. Top button is used to lift the machine, the second button is used to lower the machine, the third button is a small horn. This machine is equipped with two very special safety features. The handle is spring loaded, which means that you must pull it down to begin using this machine, if for any reason you let go of the handles while using this machine it stops immediately and enables the braking mechanism to stop the machine from moving until you resume normal operation. The second safety feature is the large red button at the end of the handle, If this button is depressed during use it will also stop the machine from moving until what ever caused the button to depress is removed, This is used to prevent the machine from running into the operator and causing injury.
