The UNIDEN Bearcat BC 147XLT Programmable Scanner lets you in on all the action! This scanner gives you direct access to over 23,000 frequencies in ten action-packed radio bands including police, fire, ambulance, ham radio, aircraft and transportation services. You can select up to 16 channels for your BC147XLT scanner to scan and you can change your selections at any time. The secret to the scanners's ability to scan so many frequencies is it's custom designed microprocessor - a tiny, built in computer.
The scanner also includes the following special features:
* LCD DISPLAY - Shows the channel being used as well as several other indicators.
* WEATHER BAND KEY - Searches all seven NOAA weather frequencies until locking on one actively broadcasting in your area.
* LOCKOUT FUNCTION - Locks out reception of signals on any selected channel during scanning. Lockout is retained in memory.
* REVIEW BUTTON - Shows the frequency you have programmed into a channel one digit at a time.
* MEMORY BACKUP - This scanner has a special capicitor that will store programmed information in memory for up to 3 days in case of power failure.
