These are UltraLife Gold Archival grade recordable CD's.

The CD's are plain gold on top, no branding or logo on the surface. They say Verbatim Archival Grade CD-R around the center hub of the disk. These are the genuine Gold CD's, not the cheap one's out there that are just painted gold.....
These discs feature a proprietary dual reflective layer technology. This means they have a layer of silver for broad compatibility, and gold for long archival life. The silver layer makes the disc look like a standard silver disc to the CD burners, which delivers great compatibility in burners and cd players. The gold layer is naturally resistant to corrosion. The gold layer overlaps the silver layer and prevents oxygen from coming through to corrode the silver. Silver oxidation can be a primary factor which limits the lifetime of CD media.
