My guess is that you have to use a labview type environment to control this.
The pictures are of another unit I had but no worries, they were both exactly alike in function and appearance.
There is some interesting trivia out there about the i960 processor. It competed with the Pentium of its day (both Intel products), and the i960 was the superior chip by a wide margin! Apparently Intel did not want to distract the market with a new line of processor, as their Pentiums had such great market dominance. So the i960 was regulated to less high profile roles and relative obscurity.
