Good Clarostat 250 power resistance decade, rack mount unit, calibrated and certified, includes a Certificate of Calibration at no extra charge. Resistance settings may be varied from one ohm to 999,999 ohms. The resistors are capable of dissapating 250 watts.
Look at the picture to see that a setting of 555,555 on the dials provides a resistance of 555,470 ohms, well within manufacturer's specs.
